I am 6'2 around 188 cm tall. Does anyone know of a monopod that extends to around 180 at least. Most seem to be around 169 cms.

Okay, considering and allowing for your line of sight (4"), the swivel head (3") and viewfinder distance (3") for a non gripped body, that's 10" (25cm) leeway. I'm 6" and a 170cm or 67" pod is more than's way over my eye level with a head attached........

......seriously consider the Feisol CM-1471

This is one of the finest monopods I have ever owned and I've used Manfrotto and Gitzo....quality and design is well worth the cost....... .....

The unit weighs a mere 1.5 lbs and is as solid as a baseball bat made of Carbon fiber with 4 section non-rotational twist lock legs. The lower section is as robust as many upper legs of CF tripods........check the attached photos.

It's as good as a Gitzo at half the cost.....

you can use a tilt head like a Manfrotto 234RC2 or a much more fluid head like the Kirk...

......which is less expensive than the RRS MH-01 models.......
