Windhoek is a fairly big standard city but the magic of Namibia is beyond Windhoek's boundaries - as said before- Sossusvlei, Swakop, Etosha and the deserts, grass plains and mountains between is what is different. (See my Namibia gallery on here if you want get some idea).
