Re: new iMac

I just purchased my first Mac, a 2012 base spec 27", which I upgraded with 32 gb of ram from Crucial.  I suggest this because of the cost savings.

All data is saved on an external Thunderbolt Raid 0 G-Tech, with backups to a second G-Tech.  Having no previous Mac to which I can compare I might be fooling myself, but I'm very pleased.

I would have probably purchased the upgraded CPU, video card, and Fusion had they been available without a two month wait for special order, but all in all I think it's probably quite sufficient for my hobby photo uses.

One day long ago, a sorcerer and a warrior did battle, as such things were commonplace in that age. Sometimes the sorcerer won, and the sum value of human abilities was improved some trifling amount. Sometimes the warrior won, and again the human race improved by some insignificant amount, for a sorcerer who can't defeat one miserable warrior is a poor sorcerer indeed.
