For the finger tip you should have used a concave release, such as the Bop or the Boop, which is designed for that.

As for unscrewing, I really haven't had and issue, but mileage may vary.

The Abrahamsson Minisoft is very slightly convex but has a broader, flatter surface than the Bip.  I press the release with the distal joint of my forefinger. This affords much better control than using the fingertip, but it takes a bit of practice to get the feel for it.
