The fact is the X20 has, i think, the best handling in its class. And maybe the best finish. A manual zoom is something absolutly marvelous. It is why I have a Panasonic FZ30 since 2008.

In Raw, it produces wonderful pictures. In JPEG, it is more a mixed bag. But I don't often print larger than 15x10cm so it is nearly invisible.

I think I gonna buy it. More for its look, handling, manual zoom,OVF and relativibly compacity than for its "pure" IQ.

The X20 responds to some costumers, like me. Accept it...

Indeed. It's not for all but that does not make us any less of anything. I enjoy using it, it handles well and I'm satisfied with my photos. It certainly wont replace my new D7100 but they complement each other very nicely!
