General purpose fast prime for a DX camera, 28 - 60 mm, < $500

Expecting to get a D7100, so I'm looking for something in between landscape and telephoto territory:

  1. Will be getting a prime landscape lens next near, so 28 mm is pushing the lower focal length boundary.
  2. Will be getting a 70-200 f4 within weeks of getting the camera, so 60 mm is probably the upper focal boundary.
  3. < $500, because I want to reserve budget for the other 2 lenses.
  4. 'Fast' because neither it is not a criteria for the other 2 lenses, and neither my G12 or even the XZ1 cover that territory.
  5. 'Fast' because of shallow DOF & low light.
  6. Type of scenarios: Cat & botanical garden work.
  7. AF support, because it will also be a test of the D7100.
  8. Prime because I want light weight & sharpness over versatility.  Have no problem with using my feet to adjust composition.

The 3 that keeping coming up are the Nikon 35mm 1.8g, 50mm 1.8g, and 50mm 1.4g.

Nikon 28mm 1.8g is out of that price range, but would consider if it is drastically sharper than the others.  Realize that on a D7100, it will effective be a 42mm.
