Two things I've noticed with successful real estate photos, being in the midst of starting to look for a house:

1. It's a good idea to take shots from the corners of rooms with as wide an angle as possible without distorting anything. One of your 16mm lenses is probably fine. You want to make those rooms look bigger than they are.

2. Bounce flash. A well-done bounce flash can "fool" the viewer into thinking that a room gets a lot more sun than it actually does.

Of course, it doesn't seem like you're taking these pictures with the purpose of trying to sell anyone on anything...so I'd just use a tripod, open the shades/drapes, and have at it.
