Re: Confirmed the issue with my D800. Now fixed with firmware?!?!

I compared to different lighting conditions.

1st the room was lit only by 3 halogen fixtures at 2/3rd power...giving a very warm light.

Room lit by 3 halogen hanging lights at 2/3rd power.  Note the focus target on the counter.

This was the resulting focus.

Note the front focus.  The focus shift was enough to noticeably soften the subject (center lines.)

Next the halogens were turned off and the room lights were turned on.  The room lights consist of fluorescents and LEDs...much higher in the light spectrum.

Room lit by overhead fluorescents and LEDs.

Note the slight back focus...but the subject is relatively sharp.

This would certainly explain why wedding photographers have complained about missing focus because it isn't uncommon for them to take pictures under warm, low light conditions.

Drift in different lighting appears to be fixed.  Also looks like I need to retune all my lenses.  The 85mm F1.8 is off in both bright LED and dim yellow halogen.
