Looks like ACR support is nearing completion! Should be interesting to see if there are any differences between a supported D7100 NEF and one altered to be read as a D5200 NEF.

Update is imminent. Please stay tuned. (I waited till April 2 to write this so don't worry about it being an April Fools' joke ...)

ACR 7.4 IS AVAILABLE NOW! :D Full D7100 support included!

For some reason I cannot get the update with elements 11,it says my application is up to date, but it cannot be as I have not updated, could this be something to do with everyone trying to update at once? Any help welcome :)

DNG converter is up too for those not so fortunate to have current version.

Mine is elements 11 and should update, but it keeps saying I am up to date, maybe its too much traffic downloading for adobe to cope? :)

I'm out of luck. I've got Premier Pro 5.5 which includes PS 5.1 and Bridge, and I installed the DNG update to camera RAW but it still doesn't recognize the D7100. I'm really not looking to spend a ton of money to upgrade. I'm not even sure how to use the DNG converter because I don't see anything specifically on my Mac that shows how I should convert the files to DNG. (pulls hair out!)

I've never used the dng converter and I just run program and it asks for folder where nefs are located, some folder options, push button. Go into cs5 bridge and click and it opens up in ACR

That's strange, because the NEF's for the D7100 arren't even recognized in Adobe Bridge for me. Keep in mind I'm running Bridge 5.1 and not CS6, so I don't know if that makes a difference, but I did run and successfully install the DNG update for camera RAW last night, or at least I think I successfully did it. Not really sure how to tell. When I look at my memory card files on my Mac, they just show the blank NEF tag instead of the image thumbnails like it does for my D7000. When I try to right-click and open the NEF in Camera RAW, it just says the file is not supported.

If I check for updates, the Adobe updater says all my programs are up to date. It would be great if I was just doing something wrong and could get this working though!

Lightroom is dirt cheap compared to what you have already spent on software. At $120, it's a steal, really - I wouldn't bother with DNG.

DNG converter is a stand along program. You run it, convert, then they will show up in bridge as DNG. It still won't read original nef's. It's not integrated as far as I know.

Well, here'sa question for you then. Can I create an image sequence in Lightroom and export it as a video? I've not used lightroom before so I'm not entirely sure.

Updated fine this morning and D7100 raw files working as normal with elements 11 now. :)

Lightroom 4 now updated to 4.4 with D7100 NEF support and the one hot pixel is now gone. It was bugging me that only 2399999 pixels were working. That's a relief as wasn't sure whether to try and get an exchange body or not but Lightroom seems to take care of the problem.
