I guess I will come at this at a different angle...... the much maligned 16mm imo truly isn't all that bad if you stay with apertures f4 or smaller. This is also true when you use the wide angle adapters. I find myself shooting this setup on my 5 and 7 at apertures from f4-f8 most often and find 5.6 about the best IQ wise. I have shot smaller and diffraction is there but I don't find it too bad overall. Personally I like the combo and think you will be happy with it on your trip. Just don't expect edge to edge sharpness like say a CG45mm but no lens for any system gives that kind of performance in wide to ultra wide focal lengths either.
