Pentax K-5 + Sig 400/5.6 TM + Sig 1.4X TC.
Pentax K-5 + Sig 400/5.6 Tele-Macro + Sig 1.4X TC. This combintaion seems to work pretty well in good lighting for me. Seems that image quality is best at f8 with this combo. I am wondering how well it might work with the K-5 IIs in focusing speed and locking on in lower light (late afternoon)? Anyone have this lens (or the FA*400/5.6) + a 1.4X teleconverter that they can check on their K-5 IIs camera? I am thinking of bird subjects at 20 to 50 feet (6 to 15 meters).
I am not interested in other combinations nor am I interested in cropping an image taken without the 1.4X teleconverter. Neither am I interested in the myth that teleonverters suck thank you.
So, if anyone can help me out here I would very much appreciate it. Thanks.
