Sand Hill Cranes
We were in Orlando over spring break and I got to try out my new 70-200 on the cranes. They were very friendly and were looking for hand outs I think so they came right up to us . Unfortunately there was a chain link fence between us. I was trying to hold my camera over the fence and still see through the view finder while the top wires of the fence were sticking in my arm. Meanwhile, one of the fence wires turned my autofocus to manual focus so I missed a lot of the shots that I though I got--and the only full body shot he is missing his feet. Plus, I was probably using the 200 when I should have had it on 70. Oh, well, they are wondrous birds and it was fun seeing them and trying regardless.
