Why is Nikon so slow at fixing botched repairs?

Actually quite different, at least in the U.S., if you believe Roger at lensrentals. He sees thousands of repairs annually with his business and said that for 2012 Nikon repairs took 3 times as long to get back and cost twice as much on average as Canon repairs. I own and have shot both Nikon and Canon for years but until Nikon gets their QC problems under control and reverses their policy of not selling parts to independent repair shops I will not buy another Nikon. I do hope Nikon changes because I think on paper they have the most interesting cameras at the moment.
