Re: Has the X20 met or failed your expectations?

Brian, I'm with you and Nukunukoo: My X20 is for picture making, and it will get me photos I wouldn't have gotten without it -- meaning when I'm traveling light, often doing something besides photography and a 5-20 lb DSLR kit is out of the question.  Small sensor = a smaller plateau of shooting conditions for good results compared to bigger sensor.  But the X20's plateau is wider than my Canon G10.  It's much faster, friendlier and more versatile in operation.  The OVF is about 50% bigger and more accurate.  Compared to any screen the OVF has no delay showing when someone's expression or scene changes.  It's got about 2 EV higher usable ISO and more natural tones and colors. Yes, Canon tuned their detail and NR defaults better than Fuji did.  I don't know about later Gs but on the G10 you can't tweak the .jpg settings without disabling raw save.

So back to Sunshine_boy's original question: yes, it's met my expectations.
