Spring has sprung....

The crocuses have come and gone. The daffodils have been out for some time. The azaleas are in brilliant form and have been for a while. However, some real signs that spring is very much here are now showing:

Western skunk cabbage

"whitebells" also

Oregon oxalis or "Redwood sorrel"

Trillium opens as white, soon to turn pink then purple. A welcome but unexpected guest in our yard.

Salmonberry buds first appear on naked sticks, soon to green up with foliage.

Here comes the foliage.

Now if the rain will stay away for a little longer.
