If you want razor thin DoF, then go FF not a crop sensor. A FF Canikon system is going to cost more than an equivalent m43 setup when you count it as a system.

I've seen others state that you can get more "stuff" at cheaper prices with a DSLR and sure, if you want/need T/S glass, super telephoto, underwater kits, etc. etc. that's true. However flash, remote triggers, good quality fast glass (zooms especially  are readily available for m43. Go price out some Canikon 2.8 zooms and then the m43 2.8 zooms will look like an absolute bargain.  Look at what DSLR users need as far as a tripod goes; not uncommon to spend $1000+ on just a tripod/head.

To me, the biggest advantage in the Canikon world is simply the amount of used gear that's out there however even then, the high end glass holds its value so you will still be paying higher prices.

Bottom line is that the camera is just the tool; if you are not getting quality shots with your existing gear, swapping systems isn't going to magically make you a better photographer. Work with what you have, learn the gear, learn lighting and learn composition. Once that's mastered, if you feel a need for "more" then switch... its your money.
