X20 Continuous Focus/Shooting

Am I right in my assumption that the X20 has no way to have both continuous focus and continuous shooting?

I want to hold the shutter down and have the camera continuously take pictures while the focus is continuously updating.  Currently in continuous shooting mode it only focuses the first shot (as per instructions), but this seems odd to me to have a continuous focus mode that doesn't focus after you press the shutter button.  Isn't that the point of continuous focus?

I am not trying to troll, have an X20 review sample and want to make sure I am not missing something stupid.  If this is how it is, what would I use continuous focus for? (serious question).
