IMO, three basic issues with telephoto zoom lenses:

3- A 100-300 zoom may be doable, if speed is kept in check but that will introduce another issue. The kit zoom lens is 16-50 (or 18-55). A telephoto lens starting from 100mm makes less sense. That gap will have to be addressed.

A fast(ish) 45-135 mm (corresponding to ~ 70-200 mm on full frame in terms of FoV) would be appreciated. Possibly f/4 to keep it ligth and small - after all, the NEX series are not low-light action cameras as such. It would overlap a 16-50 mm or 18-55 mm at the one end and full frame tele lenses/zooms at the other. I don't think there's much need for compact super teles, so beyond ~ 2-300 mm, if someone needs that kind of reach, there are solutions for that.
