Yes. Sunsets are another good example of the mono-colour desaturation caused by Auto WB that I mentioned in my posting...

Thanks for bringing that up.

Of course, some cameras have a special "Sunset" scene mode. When invoked, they don't merely fail to desaturate the reds, they give 'em a boost instead!
