Re: DPR Doesn't Think It's Perfect?

I just upgraded from a 5-ish year old Nikon D40x. I had assumed I would get a D5200 or something when I discovered the NEX series.

To me it's kind of funny the ergonomic complaints. On the D40x (and even newer systems like D3200), you have to hit a menu button for just about everything on the Nikon. On the NEX-6 I can hit the side of the back spinner and have exposure comp, ISO, focus mode, shooting mode - all without going into any menu. I can also set up the function button to display 6 or so other settings that with one press I can get to those, too. I'm not sure a lot of people realize that is customizable and oh so handy. There's also the menu screen you can toggle to by hitting the display mode.

I won't even mention the auto bracketing (not on D40x), HDR (not on D40x), etc. And then there's focus peaking and focus assist. With the E mount, I can now use my old film Pentax lenses, too!

To me, the Nikon's ergonomics are far worse than the NEX.

It's an awesome camera.
