Good or bad depends upon your opinion.

I don't find the bokeh is bad although I think it is distracting and not to my personal taste.

What lens did you use?

I recently got a bargain basement Helios 58mm F/2 and while the bokeh can be very pronounced depending on aperture setting I (and many others) think it is very distinctive and characteristic.

If you aren't happy with this lens for flower photography try another one.

Here is the bokeh from the Helios 44-2 58mm F2, I'm looking forward to a lot of flower photo-shoots when the flowers eventually arrive. You can get these for around £15 or £25, they are M42 screw fit so you need an adapter and no auto-focus etc. There are many good example photographs on the internet.

Pentax K-30 Helios 44-2 58mm F/2 @ F4 or F5.6 I can't remember exactly!
