Thanks Tony  The OM 80mm performs nicely and is very sharp from wide open up to f/16. 
beyond f/16 diffraction takes hold.  I hardly use this lens outdoors as it's meant for high magnification on the bellows.

The aphids were so small that by unaided eye I didn't notice their colour at all.  And yes I have to admit that I let parts of my garden go 'wild' for spiders and bugs to shoot. Kind of like a Small Game Reserve
