Travel AA chargers which are safe for batteries
Yes, I did find and read about the Sanyo MQR-06 prior to this but wasn't fully aware of it being a smart charger. But then again I see claims of my Sony charger being a smart one as well (in case I don't need to buy another one). I'm trying to find some more info on that.
What makes it different from the Maha MH-C9000 (which is supposed to take very good care of batteries)?
That Hahnel charger is indeed very interesting! Not for the above use (it only takes 2xAA batteries and isn't much more compact than my Maha MH-C9000 along with its power adapter) but because it'll allow me to charge DSLR batteries in the car! Very useful when traveling.
