Re: 14 mm for California Coast Trip?

The 21mm FOV on Full Frame is more useful(in my landscape shots) than wider. I own the Nikon 16-35mm f4 and the Zeiss 21 mm f2.8. I got the Zeiss after looking at my best landscape wide angle shots because that was the focal length I used the most. Not to say I do not use 16mm, I do, but nowhere near as much and often. Also the wider shots are mostly not 'pure' landscape.

So when I got the X-E1 and 18-55, I had no hesitation in ordering the 14mm at the same time. Not quite up there with the D800e Zeiss 21 combo but close enough.

One issue I find with landscape is that if they are shot much wider than 21mm (14mm Fujifilm) distant/and not so distant objects tend to flatten caused by perspective.

I took a week on that trip 2 years ago so with that experience, I can say buy the 14mm.
