SL1 still has slower (4fps with horrid 7 shot buffer in RAW), worse AF system and smaller grip.
If you are entry level, you're probably not going to do much burst in RAW. Canon knows its buyers. There are different options if you need a bigger RAW buffer. The 1000D-series had about a 4 shot RAW buffer. And you can't make a camera smaller and lighter by including a large grip! Doh! Fuji is making high end (for its sake) camera with handgrips that you more often see on the average P&S camera - so don't be gripping about small handgrips please!
T5i has all cross type AF points, the fancy flip screen, faster The SL1 still has the AF system from the XTi,
No, it's from the T3i. And if you want more features and performance, just buy a different camera that meets your needs. That'swhy Canon makes more than one camera!
You keep shifting the argument. I'm not arguing features, only against the notion that this is special because of it's size.
It is special because of it's size.
