Based on SLRGear's tests, the cheap Sigma 19mm/f2.8 is also better than the Olympus 17mm/f.18, clearly better at every single aperture from f/2.8. Although the Olympus is faster, I don't see all that much value in the extra apertures when they are so poor in IQ.

All that shiny, fancy exterior and high price are not worth it.

I have noticed many times that SLRGear always use very nice words in their descriptions, like very good, etc, but the actual graphs tell a less pretty story.

They aren't poor! The sigma is a nice lens but doesn't have such attractive bokeh and is slower. It's far less suitable for social and street photography which kills it vs this lens.

I can't even believe people are talking about the same lens as me...
