What is interesting is that Canon decided to emphasize its size. They are perceiving demand for a smaller dslr, and as a former Olympus OM user I say more power to them!

Other makers make small dslrs, and the Canon is enough smaller than the Sony a37, Pentax k-r and Nikon D3200 to make a difference to a new buyer looking for a compact dslr. If I had no (Minolta in my case) lenses I would closely look at the new Canon.
