D7100 vs D800, Nikon 85mm 1.4G

7100 does not handle specular highlights very well

Without examining the shots, maybe it is just that D7100 at iso 100 setting produces different signal than D800 under the same light. If this is the case all the user has to do is give D7100 different exposure.

But I like the tone and color gradation better on the D7100 portrait, as well as skintones, even though that may be ajust a settings/conversion issue.
