on my monitor (iMac 27") the D7100's shot is better both regarding skintones and detail ...

Causes for that may be conversion/settings (color) and camera shake/focus (detail).

The D800's image looks overprocessed a bit, more staurated with a yellow shift and too contrasty. Color/tone gradation is a bit too steep for my taste.

D7100's looks excellent in my opinion, very natural, about perfect.
