Adjusting focus on my D300
I have a D300 that I have been very happy with over the years. However, over the last year, the focus plane setting (not sure what the correct term is) seems to be going and needs to be reset. I have multiple lenses in the AF fine tune area of +17 or more, and I just bought a new 85mm f/1.8 that still isn't in focus at +20.
After 5 years it doesn't surprise me that I may need an adjustment. Went onto NikonUSAs site and they quoted a price of $224. That is more than I expected, but given that its a $1700 camera (when it was new), its not unreasonable. Before sending it in though, I just wanted to double check, is this what I should be paying for a focus adjustment for a D300? There aren't any cheaper, but still high quality options are there? Just double checking....
