7D mk2: apsc’s last stand?

Batter up .

It does look like Canon is not currently addressing the space that is occupied by both Nikon and Sony...in mid-level crop slrs...at this time.  The 2 little bodies...the super compact and the slightly changed T5...are not mid level...nothing to compete with the D7100 for example.  And never mind Sony.  They're not standing still either.

No need to be a fanboy of any brand.  No need to defend them. They are very rich as is.  So ...lets just be objective.

Hence...if this persists...Nikon may well be on a roll...with the 71 out now.  Back about 6 yrs...when Canon did the 30D...Nikon got ahead...until the 7D of Canon.   But overall, its a ? ...guess it may be a matter of perspective or of silent , or not so silent, cheering for a brand.

I do wish Canon would step up to the plate with an offering similiar  to the 71 that is getting quite a bit of favourable attention.  Competition...is good for consumers.
