Is this a valid comparison?

Using an OM-D on RAW+JPEG (large) in "Natural Mode"  I came up with this. The RAW/ORF file was converted to TIFF in Viewer 2; the JPEG is straight out of the camera.

Cropped at 100% and without any RAW editing the JPEG and TIFF look very close; with Smart Sharpening applied in PS4, they still look much the same .

If this is a valid comparison (?) for an 8x10" 300dpi print?

I understand there is more data available in the RAW>TIFF file and more room editing, but to my eye I don't see any substantial difference shooting JPEG ? I'm not trying to revisit the RAW v JPEG argument, just trying to save some post processing time by shooting JPEG and relying on the various camera modes depending on the situation.

Any/all comments appreciated. Thanks,
