Re: Ming Thein reviews the GH3

Extremely poor review that's really not specific at all, and doesn't cover one of the GH3's stand-out features - video.

He also complained about price but incorrectly claimed the GH3 was $1600 and the OM-D was $950.  Try $1299 and $999.  But considering you get what is essentially a professional level video camera with the GH3, $300 is hardly significant.  But the reviewer wanted to make a point, so he inflated the price of the GH3 and lowered the price of the OM-D a camera that has been out for awhile now.

He fails to mention the fully articulated LCD which means that even when shooting in the vertical orientation at a low or high angle, the articulated LCD is still useful, unlike tilt only LCDs.

But his main criticism of the GH3 was that "it had no soul".  That's a big takeaway, an abstract metaphysical concept applied to a camera.

So I don't have a problem with his not liking the GH3,  it's his bizarre reasons why he didn't like it.

And I agree with the others, he really did come across as a bit of an OM-D fanboy.
