i think it has something to do with the fact that he wasn't expecting that (neither would I), given the size of the GH3, rather than a comparison with the smaller E-M5. Also note that while the E-M5 is quite smaller it is heavier than one would expect, not so much lighter than the GH3.

It could be much simpler than that. The GH3 is sold in a kit with that lens and it may be in this form that MT reviewed it. This particular point is then not a natural one to raise for the E-M5 as MT probably does not propose to use that lens regularly on the E-M5.

"User reviews" are like that. Ultimately the blogger assesses how well, or not well, something would work for himself, in his work flow with all its individualities and peculiarities. Any attempt to derive relevance to the reader's expectations or experiences would be the reader's responsibility.
