I printed my photos for 8.5 years (!) with a Canon PIXMA IP4000, now, suddenly, he only prints with thick fat black ink cartridge. I used all the time ONLY chinese or swiss ink. Never Canon ink - I refilled cartridges for € 0.20/cartridge. No difference.
Now I bought for € 95 a Canon MG5350 (with scanner, WLAN, ..). Connected, paper in, ink for €1 (each cartridge) in, WLAN installed ... ready. I also bought ink cartridges (40x €1) and SwissInk (8x 150ml) and a chip resetter for € 12.
Canon's cost for adaequate cartriges would be € 1.400 (hehehe). I'm using photo paper, 50x A4, glossy, 280g, € 4.99.
