Canon PowerShot G2 review

Had G1 which was replaced by G2 due to Microdrive
problems. G2 fixes some ergonomic issues I had. Mode
control switch is smaller and firmer and less likely to be
accidentally moved when making changes to the power
switch. Now works perfectly with our Microdrives. Image
quality on closeup is better than G1, sharper finer detail.
Colour accuracy as good as G1 increased resolution a plus
though have not tried to do a comparison between old and
new yet.

On plus side Canon Canada stood behind their warranty and
was able to resolve issue I had with my G1 not working
correctly with IBM Microdrives. Would highly recommend this
camera to anyone who has been sitting on the fence because
they thought digital would not produce results that could
match film.

Shipping sw is V 6.0, G1 was at V 2.0 though don't see any
noticable differences between versions so far.

none so far.
