Pentax Optio 430RS review
An excellent choice for the climber/skier who needs a quality camera
that is durable and compact. I have used the camera for 800+ images
in the past 3 months and have found the image quality in outdoor
settings to be exceptionally good for a camera this compact. It's battery
survived a 5 day ski traverse and allowed for 178 images at the best
setting. Like other comments, it helps to read the manual! Very easy
interface and a reliable point and shoot camera. It handles difficult
outdoor lighting very well such as overcast, action skiing shots.
Superior to the Canon Powershot s230 in picture quality. Cost of $575
cdn is in line with similar cameras. Based on your your skill level you
can make up for any of the camera's automatic setting deficiencies.
That's what makes photograpy fun.
Limited ASA settings and very low quality movie features are a minus.
