Sigma SD10 review

First of all Bravo Sigma / Foveon …
The image quality is superb.
This is the best camera if you want the image quality of film with the straightforward operation of a digital camera.
Unbeatable performance for daylight outside shooting excellent for studio work and now that sigma introduced rechargeable Lithium-Ion CR-V3 batteries the worries are over.
The camera fits very well in my arms and the construction quality is good but not excellent (but nothing to worry about that, it’s far better than any prosummer camera and very close to other dslr’s at the same price).
With the 20-40m EX 2.8 the results are amassing, the auto focus is very responsive/fast and accurate the color rendition excellent and the distortions minimal for that kind of lens.
The resolution is great greater than others 6mp and sometimes the results is close to 8 mp and I don’t mean the childish prosumer models, but the true Dsls .
Finally the software is brilliant … simple to use and understand yet powerful to the final end result . Perhaps other makers should create similar software too for free …

In the future version I want to see a 6mpx3 sensor with smaller amount of noise at 400-800 iso and fat 32 file system for 4gb compact flash …
Overall BRAVO to Sigma … keep up the good Work.
Armaco

Problems:

none yet . I have the camera 2 months.
