Pentax Optio MX4 review

In all fairness, I only had this camera about a day before I decided to return it. My quick decision was due to the fact that I had previously been spoiled by both a Panasonic FZ10 and FZ20. The camera is definitely packed with features for a fairly decent price. Image quality was decent, though not great. The 10x optical zoom is a nice feature, though the camera could use some kind of image stabilization. It is good for someone that wants a little more bang for their buck without shelling out too much cash.

Main reaons for my quick turnaround:

Slow focusing in low...not dim...light. The Panasonics were also a bit slow, but this one was slower.

Slow-ish image write time. Again, I'm probably just being picky based on my experience with the Panasonics.

Awkward trigger/zoom conrols. Probably could master with a little more practice.

Manual zoom is slow. Camera features quick zoom settings, though.
