Sigma SD10 review

I've had my SD-10 for just over a year. I find the controls to be very intuitively placed and easy to use. I prefer the larger size body that the SD-10 has. That makes it very easy to grasp and hold. Image quality is better than I had anticipated, particularly with 8x10's when coupled with the Epson R800 printer. My customers are thrilled and comment enthusiastically about the realistic colors, great detail and apparent 3-D effect in the prints.

To date, I use the SD-10 mostly for portrait work (people and animals) and macro. I've done some sports and wildlife photography with it successfully, but realistically that's not even a minor interest for me. It was done more experimentally to see what I could do with the camera. I've enjoyed doing some low level light work with it too, and it performed very nicely. The images turned out great.

Problems:

The first SD-10 body that I received developed an electronic problem within a month. I called Sigma. They worked through a series of tests with me over the phone, determined that it was a camera problem and asked me to send it in. Sigma got the camera, tested it, and within 2 days of receipt had a replacement on its way to me. Great people. Great service! The second camera body has been a real gem to work with.
