Minolta DiMAGE G400 review
This tiny camera is the best value in sub-compact cameras. Image quality is excellent, with very accurate colors and good focussing and exposure. Best of all is that it offers full manual control to those who want it, unlike the Canon S400 and other similar models. I had an S400, but sold it because I was so irritated by the fact that it wouldn't even tell me what shutter speed it was using. The Minolta is as small as the Canon, is much faster at starting up and has less shutter lag, has way more features, and costs less. I find it hard to understand why the Canon models sell so much more.
The menus for setting custom options are a bit complicated until you get the hang of them, but the basic operations are very straightforward.
