Konica Minolta DiMAGE X1 review

Pros:
This camera has an excellent form factor and fantastic build quality. Feels solid yet it is quite light. Flash is powerful for a point and shoot. Navigation is fairly intuitive. Battery seems to last a long time between charges.
Got this for $300+tax+free s/h at dell.com when they were running a promo- a very good deal compared to what canon charges for its SD500. Internal lens with optical zoom- works quite well. Beautiful LCD screen that's protected against scratching. Took this to a few parties and everyone said "wow, so nice and small!"

Cons:
Image quality is very average, lots of noise at default settings. Shutter lag is terrible- about 2 seconds- dont even think about catching on-the-fly shots with this thing. Start up time is 1 or 2 seconds as well.

Problems:

Image quality means ALOT to me, so I ended up selling this on ebay. If you can stand fairly avg image quality (and a decent amount of shutter lag), then this is an excellent value for the price and size when compared to other similarly sized 7-8 megapixel cameras.
