Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D (Dynax 5D) review
Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D (Dynax 5D) review
I'm new to SLR camera's. I researched extensively online before making my purchase. My final decision was based upon going into a camera shop and actually holding and using the camera. I was torn between the Konika Minolta 5D, the Cannon Rebel XT and the Nikon D70s. I really liked the Cannon Rebel but the display was hard to read on the LCD. Eyesight when you are older 'ain't what it used to be". The Nikon was ok, but I liked the KM 5D better.
The anti shake was also a big selling point for me and so far I'm happy with it.
The 5D has an excellent display. The controls are all within reach and easy to use. I'm still figuring alot out though. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.
I added a Tokina lens - 100-400mm f/4. - 5.6 and it works great with the camera.
Problems:
I think the 5D should come with a plastic/clear protective cover for the LCD. I've searched for one and can't find any at all. The only ones are the film/sheet covers. Anyone know of any, please let me know.
