I waited a long time before I could finally allow myself to switch from my Minolta Dynax 5 film camera to this one. I bought the camera three weeks ago, shortly after my daughter was born, and it just keeps amazing me. I'm glad I waited for this camera to arrive, although I have been tempted to switch to the Canon 350.
Switching from the film Dynax 5 to the digital D5 was easy enough. Only disappointment was the fact I that I had to buy a new flash unit, since the one I had been using on the film Dynax proved to be incompatible with the digital camera.
