Pentax Optio 50 review

Pentax Optio 50 is a good example of entry level low-budget camera. It is simple to use, delivers good images and is not expensive. Battery life is really good (I use Energizer 2500 mAh rechargeables). Outdoor pictures are well detailed, as well as indoor photos taken with flash, but sometimes there is a lack of focus in low light conditions. Electric light also makes an impact to white balance. Movie mode could be definitely better. Camera body looks and feels a little bit cheap, but this is not a serious issue. In general, I am satisfied with this camera and it is a real value for money.

No real problems, just few things -

1. Auto focus problems in low light conditions
2. Auto white balance problems when shooting indoors (tip - switch to "P" mode and change White Balance setting to "Tungsten"
3. Movie mode could be better
