Konica Minolta DiMAGE X1 review

I bought X1 because I was looking for a point-and-shoot camera to carry around
everyday by not carrying my DSLR. The main reasons why I decided to buy this
camera because of the size, looks, and Minolta characteristics (AS, image quality
and ease of use). Some comments were very surprised me of how people usually
have negative feeling about Minolta camera. I have owned and used various brands
of compact & SLR digital and film camera including Canon, Nikon, Olympus, and
Minolta, at the end Minolta camera has always been my first choice for shooting.

X1 Pros: well-designed, solid material, AS system, compatible size, natural colors,
good present WB, price comparing with other 8MP, folded optics – good for candid
and remain good quality result, functions & buttons – easy to use, on/off auto
reset, big LCD

X1 Cons: max at ISO 200, no custom WB, lack of multi-segment AF, visible noise at
over ISO 100 (best at ISO 50)

Response to some comments about shutter lag in low light situation, I think it is
acceptable after comparing with other point-and-shoot digital cameras

Konica Minolta DiMAGE X1
