Casio Exilim EX-P700 review

I have had my P700 for about 6 months now and taken about 4000 photos with it. It isnt perfect but for what it cost me I (£200) think its a great buy.

The 4x zoom is handy but it does mean the wide angle isnt quite as wide as some 3x cameras.

The preprogrammed settings in 'best shot' give a nice range of results.

Batteries seem to last well even with flash and I picked up 2 extras new for £16 so I've never run out yet. The flash can take quite a while to recharge at times.

Image size seems quite high on max res - around 4.2mb - other cameras seem to keep it down to around 3.5mb.

The screen is superb - very large, easy to see, and very clear.

Movie mode is only adequate - 320x240 at 15fps.

I had a new CCD fitted under warranty as it had a bad pixel which left a yellow spot right in the middle of pictures - it took Jessops 3 weeks to fix and get it back to the shop.

One handed use often results in the setting buttons beside the screen being pushed.
