Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D (Alpha-7 Digital / Dynax 7D) review

I've had the 7D for almost a year now. I bought it because I've had Minolta film gear since 1966 (SR-7) and have many lenses to go with my 650si and 800si bodies. The 7D felt very familiar and comfortable (although it does require some heft), and I was glad to be able to "stabilize" all my lenses. Initially, however, the images weren't sharp. I sent it back to KM within the first month for a back focus fix. Early this year, I sent it back again. What I've since discovered is that by bumping the camera's sharpness setting up one notch, I've been getting terrific images, especially with my 300mm f2.8. I've had several of them printed at 11x14 and even one at 16x20, and they look great. I would like a faster continuous framing speed, and I'm still considering switching over to a D200 or a 20/30D, but right now I like it.

Problems:

1. Back focus and general lack of sharpness at default setting.
2. Slow continuous frame rate.
3. Only one zoom setting in playback. In other words, you can't zoom way in on an image and *really* check the detail.
