I own my KM Dynax (Maxxum) 7D since August 2005 and after 6.000 shots I'm still very proud of it.
I purchased a 7D because I accustomed myself to some less current features as Image stabilization or Time-lapse photography usually displayed in my veteran Canon Powershot S1 IS (still my main camera in today use). I examined carefully the information displayed about DSRL cameras here and there, and concluded that, technically speaking, KM 7D beated all his contenders in every respect except image size or image quality, that is similar or average (only 6 Mp). His superb ergonomics beat anything; I can move my index finger from the front dial to the shutter button without reposition my average hand, as does occur with Nikon D70. Nearly all controls at finger reach and a 3.5" screen makes camera back very well engineered. Good battery life. An overall round machine!

Problems:

None to date, but some things to critizice:
- Lack of a dedicated Focus Assist Lamp that implies use of flash to do this needed task in poor light.
- An unusual Manual Focus mode when using other than propietary lenses: I use only Tamron lenses, and I have to put the camera in an special Manual Focus mode to effectively disengage the focusing motor from lenses.
- The screen is large, but his brightness and sharpness are poor.
- When shooting in RAW mode, buffer is soon saturated and camera don't shot until enough memory space is cleared. This can be improved with a fast CF card.
- His size and weight makes it difficult to transport or use by little handed people, as a big gun is. Some difficult to handle by an average woman.
