Canon PowerShot A310 review

A neatly designed camera that's a good, overall package for someone looking to learn the basics of digital photography, but who isn't too fussed with adjusting things manually. Handy set up of batteries and memory card in one place - Movie function adds an extra dimension, but is difficult to play around with without specific software as it's in AVI format.

Problems:

On/Off system fails faster than it should due to constant sliding. Shutter lag is incredibly great and has resulted in many photos being missed - even with part compression. Viewfinder is out of line with actual lens, thus making it untrustworthy in image composition. Still to Video switch is easily slipped from one to the other within a case.
